My parents recently bought a small house that needed a “little work” in their words – well let me tell you that I went over there the other day and they’ve got at least a year of contractor hassles before them! I don’t know what they were thinking at this age to get into something like this but it’s going to be a long time before they can get that house in any kind of shape where they could potentially sell it someday. I set them up with HughesNet so they could research contractors and finishings online and they said that’s been really helpful but the next step is for me to come over and help them work towards a really realistic budget. I don’t know where they’re going to get the money because we don’t usually talk about things like that but I know that when it’s done it’s going to look great because they’re both really meticulous when it comes to stuff like this and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

And, of course, being the cell phones addicts that my husband and I are, we started wanting a better phone very shortly thereafter.  And, we have had many in the last five while my mother just a few months back quit using the phone that was free five years ago.  I am not kidding you, she loved that phone.  And, when the buttons started falling off and I had to force her to get a better phone, she went nuts. 

She has now learned to use the new phone but today while cleaning, I found my old phone that was the new phone that was free.  I can’t wait to see the glee on her face when she realizes she can have a phone like the one she liked the best back. 

I have plenty of those drives lying around too.  We use them now to put photos on and lock up in the lock box instead of burning our family photos on CD’s.  I don’t know that it is any easier but I do for sure that I am no where near as afraid of losing them because CD’s get scratched the drives are pretty doggone durable.  I’ve washed many of them in my husband’s pants and he just keeps right on using them. 

However, if you can find sites like free directory, you can get a jump on getting your site moving with good traffic and information to help you grow your blog or website into something big.  When I hear the words SEO, I immediately start thinking about keywords because to me, that’s the root of it all.  So, use the keywords and then get listed and learn about SEO, that’s my advice and I’m sticking to it.
