My husband is a computer geek. He gets it all when it comes to the terminology, unless of course it is me saying “can you fix that thingamabob?”. Then he looks at me in disgust as if I have just used someone’s name in vain with my crazy antics. I just don’t have that memory recall for all those technical terms.

So, imagine his surprise when I actually remember that he had built a computer by assembling various hard drives that he had removed from other computers that were failing and the memory was 1 TB. Yea, 1 TB because hello..I don’t remember what the TB stands for, I just know it’s big. How’s that for smashing the language into pieces?

I have plenty of those drives lying around too. We use them now to put photos on and lock up in the lock box instead of burning our family photos on CD’s. I don’t know that it is any easier but I do for sure that I am no where near as afraid of losing them because CD’s get scratched the drives are pretty doggone durable. I’ve washed many of them in my husband’s pants and he just keeps right on using them.

When we owned a daycare, we had various choices of used furniture to stand in for desks and filing cabinets, etc. And at home, we had bought desks from various discount supply stores. But, as I started to make our home my spot of work, we had to find a way to get office furniture that would fit in our home in the spaces we have already have and be useful.

As time elapsed, we ended up with 2 desktops and a couple of laptops and without even realizing it, we had amassed more furniture than anyone office should even need.
