For one, make your home, the same place you call your vacation home. With various Outer Banks foreclosures in process right now, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a home you like, and then when you travel, the traveling is home and you are always returning to a vacation. Michelle Obama: A Vacation!

Earlier this week President Obama celebrated his birthday without his wife and children. He was suppose to have an evening with friends and sleep in his bed in his Chicago home. Michelle Obama and Sasha were in Spain and Malia was at summer camp.

Now, the media is all over the trip giving her a hard time for such a lavish vacation. Supposedly folks are upset because she didn’t spend her vacation on the gulf like she asked other American’s to or why is she vacationing when the world is in two wars and people are hungry and blah blah blah.

This is nutso. Jackie O went on a huge cruise in 1963 and folks were mad. She felt so guilty she went with her husband to Dallas where he was eventually shot. President Bush #41 was on a cigarette boat in the middle of a recession….what about him? Reagan went to his ranch for 335 days and folks were condemning him he said, you can tell me what to do in a lot of ways but not how to send my down time.

So come on folks, get real. At least she didn’t do like Clinton and hire someone to tell her it wasn’t a good idea and then go anyway. The bottom line is the Obama’s don’t have a place like Reagan’s ranch…get off the woman….

Lincoln went to the Soldier’s Home and came back with the Emancipation Proclamation and FDR went out on a government Yacht and came back with more brilliance. The idea is that these guys need to refresh and be real, do you think they are ever completely on vacation as the President of the United States.

Michelle Obama to Celebrates Obama’s Birthday

Indeed, the President of the Unites turns 49 today. He is taking the day in stride with his wife and oldest daughter in Spain and his youngest away at summer camp. With the life of the President falling mid-week, chances are the celebration today will be small. Once Michelle Obama and the kids are all reunited, chances are there will be a nice party.

While the President has to carry on the daily business of running our country, birthday or not, his staff has surely managed a nice cake of some kind. He is expected to be in Chicago this evening for dinner with friends and plans to stay at his home in Hyde Park. Tomorrow, a new day dawns and the work that never slowed for his birthday will continue. Just ask Michelle Obama though, I bet you anything she has something up her sleeve.

Above Ground Pools

We have had above ground pools before but this year we didn’t assemble the pool as we had planned to go with a bigger and better model. A co-worker of Wayne’s offered up the pool in exchange for taking it down and removing it from his property. We were stoked. Then, we ended up over our heads in baseball and time just got away from us. Now we are here at the end of the summer and school is starting back soon. However, we have tons of summer left so who knows now that baseball over, we may go ahead and get it assembled and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Inogen Oxygen Concentrator

As family members around me suffer from various illness, I’ve learned a lot about help that is available. Almost everyone I know has managed to end up on oxygen at some point during the treatment of their illness. My own mother who appears to be recovering well did indeed have to use oxygen at one point.

We were left at the mercy of the salespeople and the doctors when it came to making a decision on what company to use for our equipment. But, at the same time, I do my online research too. One company that I have seen to use for pulse-dose portable oxygen system is the inogen oxygen concentrator. Having a portable unit is a truly big issues so that our loved ones aren’t stuck at home just because of their choice of equipment.

I remember the first time I realized that various pieces of jewelry came from somewhere besides a simple discount store. I was sitting in church behind some classmates and I saw one extremely expensive watch on his arm.
