My husband and my 7-year-old both have eyesight issue.  My husband wears contacts and my youngsters wears glasses.  We’ve been extremely fortunate with the young one and he has managed 2 years, kindergarten and first grade without breaking his frames.  His head has grown quite a bit though so I figure second grade will mean the need for new frames.  And, definitely I’ll be on the look out for cheap prescription glasses. 

My husband wears contacts all the time but we finally bought him a pair of glasses for the first time in 15 years.  The ones he had were unsightly at best.  These look really good and he was excited to be styling again.
